The Electrophysiology (EP) suite at University of Illinois Hospital is a part of the Interventional Cardiology Department and serves both inpatients and outpatients. The programming phase of the project was essential to confirming how the labs will be used. Projects start with room data sheets information gathering, which is vetted by the user, and completed by the A/E for codes and requirements.

The EP lab uses a Phillips bi-plane imaging system with peripheral diagnostic and monitoring equipment and multiple input capable monitor screens.  Multi-zone, dimmable, efficient LED lighting allows lighting levels and moods to be adjusted for patient comfort and medical staff needs. Dimmable LED “green” lighting provide increased monitor visual clarity.  Laminar flow / HEPA-filtered HVAC system is designed for patient comfort and safety.
