The Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP) is one of the largest and most aggressive noise abatement programs of its kind in the United States. RADA has provided design services to reduce the impact of aircraft noise in entire neighborhoods surrounding O’Hare International and Midway airports. Since the firm’s involvement began in 1996, the program has expended $600 million for exterior envelope improvements and for sealing buildings to abate noise levels. An average of 800 to 1,000 homes per year receive these renovations.
